Vanessa Snyder, DVM, MPH

Emergency Veterinarian

Vanessa Snyder, DVM, MPH, is an Emergency Clinician at Saint Francis Veterinary Center.  She is an accomplished, multidisciplinary professional with experience in the fields of veterinary medicine, public health, pharmaceuticals and academia.

Dr. Snyder, a native of Philadelphia, completed her undergraduate degree at La Salle University in 2006 prior to entering the fields of pharmaceuticals and academia.  She worked for several years as a senior scientist and biologist prior to entering the field of veterinary medicine.

She obtained her doctorate of veterinary medicine and masters of public health from Michigan State University in 2017.  In addition to her veterinary pursuits, Dr. Snyder also instructed a statistics course in her spare time.

Following her studies at Michigan State University, Dr. Snyder’s experience included an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Oklahoma State University.  Her professional interests include diagnostic imaging and emergency medicine.

In her spare time, Dr. Snyder enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs (a German shepherd and Canadian pointer) and two cats (domestic short hair cats).  She also enjoys international travel, kayaking, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
