Mark Meyerhoff, DVM
Dr. Mark Meyerhoff has an extensive background in emergency medicine.
He is originally from North Eastern Connecticut. He received a BA in Zoology at the University of California, Davis in 1988 and completed the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Dr. Meyerhoff completed a private practice internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Tropicana Animal Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, under the direction of Joseph Bojrab, DVM, MS, PhD and attended a VIRMP internship in small animal emergency and critical care medicine at the Pet-ER in Towson, MD under the direction of Tanya Tag, DVM, DACVECC.
Dr. Meyerhoff served in Operation Noble Eagle at the Pentagon, providing medical assistance to search and recovery dogs of the Metropolitan Police Department during the 9/11/2001 response/recovery mission. Dr. Meyerhoff received the 2013 Pennsylvania Veterinarian of the Year award by the PVMA for life saving care provided to “Zeke” a Harrisburg Police Canine. Dr. Meyerhoff has served as a FEMA instructor for the National Urban Search and Rescue Response System Canine Medical Team Training. Dr. Meyerhoff lives in Northumberland County Pennsylvania with his wife Tara and children Alexandra and Seth. Outside of work, Dr. Meyerhoff enjoys visiting The Thousand Islands region of Upstate New York, history, hiking with the dogs, horses, mountain biking and baseball.
