Dr. Magazu attended the United States Military Academy before studying Biochemical Engineering at Rutgers University.  He earned his DVM at the University of Messina in Italy prior to joining the faculty at Oklahoma State University as Instructor of Radiology, where he also completed a Clinical Internship focused on Surgery in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences.

For more than thirty years since leaving academia and entering private practice, Dr. Magazu has performed thousands of successful orthopedic, soft tissue, thoracic, oncologic and neurologic procedures.  He has a special personal interest in orthopedic cases.

Dr. Magazu is a proud member of a service-oriented family.  His father and father-in-law are both retired Air Force Colonels, and his immediate and extended family includes police officers, firefighters, members of the Air Force, Army and Marines; as well as volunteers of all kinds.

He has counted many beautiful animals as members of his family over the years, many of whom were rescued after abandonment, abuse or neglect.  The ones you are most likely to hear hilarious stories about are Slick the African Grey parrot, Chainey his trusty old dog, and Muffin the 21-year old cancer surviving cat.
