Leslie James-Brown, DVM


Dr. Leslie James-Brown brings decades of experience to the Saint Francis team, both as a practitioner and administrator in veterinary medicine.

Prior to joining Saint Francis, Dr. James-Brown was an associate veterinarian at leading specialty hospitals in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as Medical Director overseeing a team of medical and administrative professionals at a hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. James-Brown is a tireless advocate for animal welfare institutions in our region, providing expertise and leadership to organizations focused on ensuring health and wellness to animals most in need.  She served as Medical Director to the Philadelphia Animal Care and Control Association, and oversaw an extensive surgical caseload with an emphasis on preventative care for animals for the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA).

Dr. James-Brown earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University and her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Science from West Virginia University. A Philadelphia native, Dr. James-Brown graduated from Merion Mercy Academy for Girls.
