Dr. Hutton is a staff veterinarian in the Department of Internal Medicine at Saint Francis Veterinary Center.
Prior to joining the Saint Francis team, Dr. Hutton was a Lecturer in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania from 2005-2007. In 2007, Dr. Hutton worked as a research Fellow in infectious disease, sponsored by the Veterinary Center for Infectious Diseases, at the University of Pennsylvania. From 2008 to 2010, Dr. Hutton was a National Institutes of Health NRSA post-doctoral Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. From 2010 to 2012, Dr. Hutton was a staff Internal Medicine Specialist in private practice in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hutton earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard University and her DVM at Cornell University. She completed her internship at Colorado State University and her residency in Internal Medicine at Cornell University. She earned her MTR at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hutton as a special interest in infectious disease, particularly trends in antimicrobial resistance.
Dr. Hutton enjoys travel, puzzles, crocheting, gardening, volunteer work and – most of all – spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters. She has lived in the Philadelphia area since 2005 and loves the culture, museums, scenic locales, great food, shopping and the experience of all four seasons of the North East.
