Jenifer is a nurse for the Department of Emergency and Critical Care. She joined Saint Francis Veterinary Center in 2012. She brings with her 12 years of veterinary nursing experience. She attended Harcum College for Veterinary Technology and also attended an extensive internship at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Jenifer has an interest in emergency medicine, surgical nursing, exotic care, and hematology. Jenifer spent a very long portion of her career divided practicing emergency nursing care and orthopedic/soft tissue surgical nursing at a 27 doctor, 24 hour veterinary clinic. Jenifer enjoyed assisisting running the blood donor program for several years and mentoring staff in blood collection, storage, and transfusion.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young children, and being involved in their school as a home and school member. (Aka: cool homeroom mom!) She also enjoys dressage, trail riding, baseball, visiting different museums and beaches, gardening, and caring for the family’s several loved pets! Prior to starting a family Jenifer enjoyed scuba diving and is certified in open water I and 2.
