Holli is a nurse for the Department of Emergency and Critical Care. Prior to joining our team, she worked at a small animal general practice for seven years, collectively. She took a year off to become a licensed cosmetologist, graduating from Rizzieri-Aveda School for Beauty and Wellness in the fall of 2010. Though she liked tapping into her creative side with hair and make-up, she knew her true passion was with animals. After working in a salon she decided she wanted to return to the veterinary field.
Her love for animals started at a young age, growing up in a home with two dogs and becoming a horseback rider at age eight. From 2004-2010 she volunteered at SHADOW Equestrian, a therapeutic horseback riding facility for children with special needs. The experience was extremely rewarding and furthered her love not only with animals but with the special bond they create with people. She applied at a small animal general practice her senior year in high school and was trained in the following departments: exam rooms, treatment and surgery, as well as customer service.
Holli has three dogs (Coco, Rango & Nero) as well as two rabbits (Pearl & Leonardo). When she is not spending time with family and friends, she enjoys practicing agility with her Toy Australian Shepherd, Rango and obedience with her Rottweiler, Nero as well as “horse-sitting”.
