Caroline Patten, VMD, PhD
Veterinarian
Dr. Patten is a staff veterinarian in the Department of Emergency and Critical Care at Saint Francis Veterinary Center.
Dr. Patten earned her BA in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Princeton University. She earned her VMD and Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Patten’s post-graduate certifications include: Sound-Eklin Academy of Imaging coursework and K-Laser Class IV Therapeutic Laser certification. Her surgical capabilities include abdominal exploratory, enterotomy, gastrotomy, GDV, spenectomy and mass removal.
Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is the opportunity to explore new challenges working with animals. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing and spending time with her family.
Dr. Patten’s family includes Baxter, an 11 year old terrier mix, Penelope, a two year old black standard poodle, and Maurice and Chauncey, the family’s goldfish.
