Angela Tomarchio

Angela Tomarchio

Angela is a kennel assistant for the department of emergency and critical care. Angela describes animals as being her life! She is currently a student at Camden County College where she is studying to become a certified veterinary technician. Her ultimate goal after becoming certified is to start the journey to becoming a veterinarian.

She adores all animals, but her favorites are small animals, exotics, and fish. She also loves farm animals. She currently has a 10.5 year old beagle named “Rocco”, 3 cats, 4 rats, a small aquarium, and 3 chickens. The chickens are laying hens of course, since she’s a vegetarian!

Angela belongs to many animal activist and advocacy groups that support all animals, especially rats. Several months ago she educated a large group of Girl Scouts about rats and used one of her own rats (who has since passed) as an ambassador.

Angela is also an expert at setting up tropical freshwater, brakish, and cold water aquariums, and is always full of advice when it comes to keeping fish. If you see her at the hospital and you have a question regarding your exotics, rodents, or fish, she’ll be glad to help you with whatever she can!
